Workshop and Exhibition Space

Our mezzanine gallery is a multi-functional space. It can be hired for solo or group exhibitions for up to four weeks at a time. This area can also be hired for evening group meetings or talks.

We have a room at the end of the mezzanine which can be hired by the hour for workshops and classes of up to eight people at a time.

Please email us at atelierchristchurch@gmail.com or use the contact form to discuss your requirements and for information on rates for hire.

Studio Space

We currently have one available space in our shared studio room. The space is a partitioned space in a large room shared with a couple of other artists.

The space is rented out at £250 per month, which includes utilities and wi-fi. Minimum term is six months, after which both parties are required to  give one months notice to terminate. (A months' deposit is taken at commencement and returned at the end of the term). Artists/Artisans have 24 hr access to the building and use of shared kitchenette/toilet. Please note this space is on the top floor and not accessible to the public.

Please contact us if you would like to come and view this space. Available from January 1st.

Retail Space

We have some availability for new artisans and craftspeople in the main retail galleries at Atelier. We are looking for local creatives and all items must be designed and made by hand. We do not offer space for resale or mass produced items. We also wish to ensure that we do not have too many artisans offering very similar things and that duplicated items are not being sold elsewhere in Christchurch. We feel this is in the best interests of everyone selling through us and offers our visitors a truly unique shopping experience.

Although we have small some spaces which are rented out by the month, we usually work on a commission basis. We ask all prospective artists and artisans to submit a short introduction about themselves and images of the work they'd like us to showcase to our email @ atelierchristchurch@gmail.com.  If the collective feels that the work is appropriate for the shop, we will contact the artist/artisan with a copy of our terms and conditions.
